Efficient Modulation of Magnon Conductivity in Y3Fe5O12 Using Anomalous Spin Hall Effect of a Permalloy Gate Electrode

We report the control of modulation efficiency magnon conductivity in yttrium iron garnet (YIG) using spin injection from a ferromagnetic metal permalloy (Py) used as modulator three-terminal transistor geometry. The is estimated by means nonlocal spin-transport measurements between platinum injector and detector strips. A charge current sent through Py to create accumulation at YIG-Py interface via Hall effect anomalous (ASHE). observe an enhancement for electrically generated magnons 2.5%/mA 10 mT 4.7%/mA magnetic fields higher than 50 mT. That attributed ASHE, which maximized when magnetization perpendicular current. However, thermally exhibits opposite behavior, 12.0%/mA 6.6%/mA mT, disagrees with what we expect ASHE contribution modulation.
